Terrorists succeeded in hitting an armored vehicle belonging to the US Embassy in Lebanon just during afternoon rush hour in the Karantina area of Christian East Beirut.

At least 20 people are injured and 5 dead. The whereabouts and safety of US Ambassador J. Feltman is unknown. An Embassy Staff identified as Mathew Clayton is one of the wounded.

The road to the Beirut International Airport has been blocked by pro-Hezbollah protesters executing Syria's orders to start the civil upheaval in the Lebanon.
