Last night, Streets of Ain Roummaneh, Shiah and other parts of the Southern Suburbs were blocked by youth burning tires to protest the on-going electricity shot-off and high inflation.

The Presidential Appointment has been postponed for the 8th time till Monday, December 17, 2007. Some even say it won’t take place before March 2008!!!

As such, the Momentum of General Michel Sleiman has been burned down.

Lebanon is heading to a complete constitutional and power vacuum if the Parliament is not convened by January 2008 at which time and legally speaking, the Parliament will no longer be able to convene to elect a President. So, in January 2008 the People of Lebanon may wake-up without a President, a Parliament that is a sitting duck and a Government that is hopeless.
